DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Thursday, September 6, 2018 – early submissions are encouraged.
Non-union (ACTRA or Equity), Non-paying
The ensemble will engage in a collaborative process with a focus on movement, devised staging and an opportunity to play multiple roles with featured text. In addition to portraying Penelope’s 12 maids, some additional characters are:
Odysseus, Telemachus, Helen of Troy, Menelaus, Naiad Mother, King Icarius of Sparta, Oracle, Eurycleia, Laertes, Anticleia, Antinous, Appolonius
Those contacted for auditions will be seen the week beginning September 10, with callbacks on September 16. Only those contacted for an audition will be seen.
Performance run: November 9-24, 2018

Non-binary, female-identifying artists from all ethnic and/or cultural backgrounds are strongly encouraged to submit.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Performers are asked to prepare:
- one classical monologue or piece of poetry that displays their competency with heightened text. The piece may be chosen from any age; anything from Shakespeare to spoken word is welcomed.
- one acapella song in any style (16-32 bars) to display their choral capabilities.
It is recommended that actors familiarize themselves with the material in the play.
