THE STORY:
Welcome to Aleesha’s world, her Social Work paper is due –
and Aleesha desperately needs to find the perfect “Human Subject” to write about.
Enter a woman who’s a panhandler in the City Park. Perfect!
If only Aleesha could convince her to co-operate.
Things get messy – and then there’s the Police Officer…
PRODUCTION INFORMATION:
PLAY REHEARSALS
- There are 10 Play rehearsals (rehearsals are approx. 1.5 – 2 hours)
- Play rehearsals begin in March 2020 and continue until the end of May 2020.
TECH & CUE-TO-CUE REHEARSALS
- There are 2 Tech rehearsals at Alumnae Theatre (Thurs. May 21 at 1:00pm, and Sun. May 24 at 11:00am).
- And there is 1 Cue-to-Cue "dress rehearsal" at Alumnae Theatre (Wed. May 27 at 1:30pm).
- Tech Rehearsals & Cue-to-Cue “Dress Rehearsals” will be at Alumnae Theatre, 70 Berkeley Street
PERFORMANCES
- There will be 7 performances
- Performances will be at Alumnae Theatre, 70 Berkeley Street, Toronto
- Performances will run May 28 – June 6, 2020
- The play is 10 minutes long and is a part of a 1-hour show, comprised of 6×10-minute plays.

COMPENSATION:
This year, the InspiraTO Festival works on a profit-sharing model.
Our show's 3 Actors will share equally with the Director and Producer in the play’s profits from InspiraTO.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
ALEESHA: Stage age is early-20s. Any ethnicity. Any gender.
Seeking an excellent comedic actor.
She’s like Alexis from the TV series Schitt’s Creek.
And Aleesha livestreams her life on Social Media – she’s a Social Media star.
WATERCOURSE THEATRE encourages submissions from all ethnicities & genders.
WHO CAN BE CAST:
- Non- Union Actors can be cast
- “Apprentice Members” of ACTRA/Equity can be cast.

“Full Union Members” of ACTRA/Equity are not able to be cast in this production.
TIME COMMITMENT:
