Read an eBook day – Contest!
Guess what day it is? It's the third annual International Read an eBook Day this Friday, September 16! (Fanfare, please).
True, you might not find this one on many calendars. In fact, Read an eBook Day was created by Overdrive (the library eBook app) as a way to promote eBooks, especially library eBooks. But come on… you love digital reading, right? Or else you wouldn't be here. So you might be interested in visiting the Read an eBook Day website for reading recommendations and interviews with authors (about libraries! and digital reading!).
And here's the contest part: if you use the hashtag #eBookLove on social media, you may win a free device from OverDrive, including a new Kobo Aura ONE (which is the fancy new Kobo that makes it easier to borrow library eBooks). So tweet away! Show your love of eReading! Maybe win a cool device!

Diana Gabaldon Outlander series – right now reading Drums of Autumn. Why read on EBooks? They are each over 1,000 pages long. Did you ever try to fly with more than one book and get charged with an overweight suitcase? I did and that is when I bought a Kindle.
Hi, Judith!
I agree – that’s one of the many excellent reasons for reading eBooks. I have four novels in my purse right now, and they take up less space than a deck of cards!
