Election stories can be found in fiction as well as non-fiction. The most famous recent example is The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling. Her first book since completing the Harry Potter series, this adult novel is about a hotly contested town council seat. There is a long waiting list for this one, but the library has other books about elections, too.

There are two sequels to Mira Grant’s “Feed.” I’m still waiting to read the first book in the series but I’ve heard they’re pretty good!
