Book of the Week: Husk by Corey Redekop
Zombies in Toronto? Charming.
Sheldon Funk is a man with a lot of issues. An unsuccessful actor with an ailing mother and debts and now on top of everything else finds himself dead–or rather undead. Sheldon dies on the bus coming home from his latest audition only to wake up in the coroner's office during his own autopsy. He escapes and goes home where he begins to cope with his new reality.
Will he remember to breathe? Can he become famous before he decomposes? How can he balance career, family and cannibalism?
Quill & Quire called it "an enormously funny book that has real emotional heft underneath all the blood".
