The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

St. Angela primary school is located in an Irish Catholic neighbourhood in Sydney. Alumnae Cecilia and Tess now have children at the school; Rachel is the school secretary. Each woman is wrestling with her own problems.

Rachel’s daughter was murdered 20 years earlier and her murderer was never apprehended. Rachel suspects that the killer might be the school’s gym teacher. Tess’ husband has recently confessed that he is in love with her cousin. She is rebuilding her life with a passionate affair. Cecilia strives for perfection at home and at work. One day, she discovers a letter written by her husband that he had intended to be read after his death. Although he is still alive, she reads it.
