Aaaah art projects. Holiday art projects. For someone like me who has two left hands when it comes to artistic creativity, those art projects used to be…interesting. Especially for my old Arts teacher, who was summoned every few minutes to explain the steps again. And again. And then ‘just one last time, I promise’.

I think eventually by Grade 8, my Arts teacher had figured out that she needed to print out the instructions for me, which helped greatly. I just wish my Family Studies teacher had received the same memo. How easy would things have been?

Thus, whenever the holiday season comes around and everyone is showing off their homemade goodies and beautifully wrapped presents, I cringe and crawl into a small space to cry. Okay that was an exaggeration. But you all know what I mean.
