Not as Free as you think!!
Just a few days ago, news broke online in the computer world that the
American Software giant Adobe has made the 2005 CS2 Premium Plus suite
available as a free download for Windows and Mac platforms. Part of the suite
includes the ever-popular Photoshop CS2 and other applications such as
Premiere Pro CS2, InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS2 and more.
CS2 is not new by any standards — it was originally released back
in 2005 — but it’s still a fantastic offer and capable of some serious work.
And when the cost is just the time it takes to download it, it’s a real
bargain.
All of this sounds great, but it’s not quite correct. I hate to disappoint. You are only legally entitled to download and
install with that serial number if you have a valid license to the product!
The software was made available on their website along with
Serials numbers and it garnered a lot of attention in the online
community. Although all the info you
need to get started along with the software have been made available, it was
never meant to be given away for FREE.
Adobe has since clarified the issue and stated that the Adobe has
not released the CS2 software for free. Instead, it has cancelled its CS2
license management servers, so for those with existing licenses it is now
offering downloads that do not require contact with the licensing servers. This
service is only going to be available for those with existing Adobe CS2
licenses, which will be verified when creating the Adobe account to download
the software.
The move was to ensure Adobe customers who invested in a previous
version of the popular Adobe Creative suite to still have an opportunity to use
the product they paid for.
For now, you'll need to stick to some Open Source Software like GIMP and GIMPshop and other alternatives to get your Adobe fix.

Well, I think almost everyone has downloaded a pirated copy of Microsoft Office and Adobe softwares for free. It’s not strictly speaking legal, but what you gonna do. 🙂
Adobe CS2 FREE- I guess it was too good to be true I heard about the free download but thought there was a catch . Too Bad . would be a good intro to the beginners to the Adobe product line . Yeah to open source programs I guess.Thanks for the word on the Free Adobe program news.
