After one full day with the 3D printer, here are some great photos of some of the designs the Digital Innovation Hub staff printed out.  Have a look.

We printed out a bracelet, chain, comb and a combo (nut and bolt) to name a few.  In addition, new Hub staff Alex got an opportunity to print out his 3D design of a skull.

Very pleased with the initial batch, and can't wait to show case some new examples in the upcoming days.

If your looking for some great ideas for yourself, be sure to check out Thingiverse, a great online resource with more than a hundred thousand ready to print designs that are really user friendly, just download, play and print.

  1. Very exciting to see this new technology coming to the library. Do any of the 3D printers out there use other materials besides plastic?
