Toronto Book Awards Shortlist Announced

The Toronto Book Awards were created in 1974 to celebrate the diversity of writing in the city. Any type of writing–fiction, non-fiction, poetry and drama–are eligible for the prize as are books written for adult, young adult and juvenile audiences. This year the nominees include both fiction and non-fiction.

The 2014 shortlist was announced on Friday, August 22.
