FluWith flu season just around the corner, it's time to think about the flu shot.  According to an Ontario study, the flu shot eliminates over 200,000 visits to doctors' offices, 30,000 visits to hospital emergency departments and prevents approximately 300 deaths every year in Ontario.

Influenza, or as it is commonly called, the flu is a serious illness that can lead to pneumonia. Getting your flu shot early in the season allows your immune system to strengthen before the flu season starts.

The flu shot is recommended for everyone over 6 months of age but it's especially important for people with weakened immune system, the elderly, young children, pregnant women and anyone who takes care of people.
