It’s National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day!

I love how the United States seems to have a "National Day" for every type of food and drink. March 1, 2017 is National Peanut Butter Lover's Day. Unfortunately, not every one can enjoy peanut butter.
Peanut allergy is one of the most common food allergies. Pediatricians used to recommend that paren'ts not give their baby peanuts until after they were one year but there is growing evidence that introducing peanuts at a younger age might prevent peanut allergy. Babies born to mothers who ate peanuts during pregnancy are also less likely to have peanut allergies.

Oh, what a fun idea for a blog post!
Yes, the United States has a lot of official national days for various types of food. I’ve often wondered why Canada doesn’t do the same thing.
Thanks Lydia. My favourite day is July 11 🙂
Isn’t July 11 free Slurpee day at 7-Eleven?
Thanks for passing along that information Gord. My kids will certainly enjoy free Slurpees.
