Get Your Summer Read On Day: June 22, 2019

A couple of days ago, blogger Daniel told you all about the upcoming TD Summer Reading Club at Toronto Public Library.

In case you were still on the fence about whether your child should join the Club, allow me to sweeten the deal! Kids who visit their TPL branch and register for the Club on Saturday, June 22 (a.k.a opening day, a.k.a. Get Your Summer Read On Day) will be entered in a draw to win a pair of tickets to a Toronto Blue Jays home game. We have secured some fantastic seats to see the Jays take on the first-place New York Yankees. Oh, and the game happens to be on Sunday, August 11, which is a Jr. Jays day. So plan to arrive early and stay late because there will be plenty of fun activities inside and outside of Rogers Centre, and even the chance to run the bases after the game!

Of course, beyond getting the chance to win the baseball tickets, by joining the Club on June 22, your kid will also get a head start on a summer that is all theirs.

TD Summer Reading Club is super flexible and goes wherever your child goes over the school break – whether camp, day trips or exotic locales. If they're staying in the city, your child is always welcome to come to a TPL branch to explore reads that interest them, talk to staff for recommendations and join in our free Summer Wonder programs.

We look forward to seeing your family on Saturday and throughout the next few months. Best of luck with the Get Your Summer Read On Day Blue Jays Contest and have an incredible summer!
