Buying a Bicycle: get hands-on demonstrations and more!
The Newcomer Cycling Outreach Program has help and advice about where to buy a bike and what to ask for. Lillian H. Smith branch, 239 College Street (east of Spadina) is hosting this program on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 2-4 pm. Everyone is welcome but space is limited. See the flyer for registration details.
The library has books to help you too! Need to fix up your bike? Try these on bicycle maintenance and repair. And our branch has two magazines about cycling too. Dandyhorse is Toronto-based.
Check the website of the Toronto Cyclists Union and their Toronto Cyclists Handbook. The handbook is available in 17 languages and has good safety tips.
