What’s a teen to do?

There are some amazing youth programs happening this summer at the library. And it is my extreme pleasure to be writing this blog entry to tell you about them.

First we have a Writers Group that meets on July 7, 21 and August 4, & 18 in room 2/3 from 4:30-6:30 at the North York Central Library. Susan Kernohan is the contact for the program and you can email her at: skernohan@torontopubliclibrary.ca. This program is for anyone who is a teen and interested in creative writing in its myriad forms. Poetry, song lyrics, novels, short stories, critical essays, diaries, blogging, etc. So you should check it out.

Art Journal Workshop

(ages 13-19) Tuesday July 12, 2-4 in the auditorium at North York Central Library. This is a hands on workshop to learn how to make your own art journal. This is not an "artist" snob effort, this is a chance for anyone who is creatively minded to create a journal for your doodles, thoughts, day dreams, whatever.  Materials will be supplied – just bring your open and creative mind.

Teens Have Personality!

(ages 13-19) Monday August 15th, 2-4  in room 1at the North York Central Library. Gain insight into your personality the fun way! Come and try a variety of personality quizzes that will reveal what kind of person you are. Are you a good listener? Do you procrastinate? We'll balance the quizzes with a good sense of humour.
