Free Science Events in Toronto for October 2014
The Science and Technology Department of North York Central Library compiles a monthly calendar of free science and applied science events in Toronto. Applied science includes health, gardening, pets and food; all subjects found in the department's collection. Here is the October calendar (PDF).
October's highlights include:
- October 2: Bigger, Better, Stronger, Faster – Are Stem Cells the Answer? A CafĂ© Scientifique event where you can have a drink and learn about the latest ideas and issues in science and technology in an informal setting.
- October 28: Clutter as we Age – When Does Collecting Become a Problem? An evening discussion with leading Sunnybrook experts on hoarding disorder.
- October 29: Misconceptions of the Big Bang, join Dr. Michael Reid as he clarifies what we do and don't know about the Big Bang.
