Rules for iPad Mini Twitter & Instagram Contest #TPLdownloads

You are eligible to win one of five iPad minis by entering our contest on Twitter or Instagram.

There are two ways to enter:

1. Follow us on Twitter @TorontoLibrary and tweet this sentence to enter the contest:

I downloaded [e-book/e-mag/movie/music title] for free @torontolibrary #TPLdownloads

2. Tell us about a title you have downloaded at the library recently by leaving a comment on this Instagram post. For an additional entry, post a creative pic on instagram involving digital titles at the library and tag us @torontolibrary #TPLdownloads

 

How to Participate:

         Eligibility:

  • The contest is open to all residents of Toronto age 18 years and older, except Toronto Public Library Board members, officers and employees of the Toronto Public Library and members of those individuals’ families and their cohabitants.
  • Upon completion of Twitter posting, eligible customers will be entered for a chance to win one of five prizes.
  • Limit of one entry per individual.
  • Entering the contest signifies your acceptance of these rules.

          Entry Period:

  • Entries will be accepted from Wednesday, October 1st – Friday, October 31st, 2014
  • Winners will be announced on Monday, November 3rd

 

Prize:

  • Winners will receive one of five iPad minis (16GB). Each prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash alternatives, substitution or transfers of the survey prize will be allowed.
  • Winners will be chosen by random draw from among all eligible entries received.
  • Odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries received.
  • The prize winners will be contacted via Twitter. Winners agree that Toronto Public Library may use their names or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited).
  • Judges’ decisions are final and the Toronto Public Library is under no obligation to enter into communication with entrants who do not win prizes.
  • Prizes must be picked up at Toronto Reference Library. Toronto Public Library is not responsible for any damages, taxes or expenses that the winners might incur as a result of this contest or receipt of prizes.

 

Privacy and Personal Information:

  • Each entrant will be required to provide Toronto Public Library with his/her name, library card number and telephone or email address for the sole purpose of prize administration.

General Rules:

  • The Toronto Public Library is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transactions or network connections that affect the prize draw or your participation in it. Furthermore, the Toronto Public Library is not responsible for:
    • lost, misdirected, misplaced, illegible, unintelligible, incomplete or late entries
    • any act, failure to act, or delay regarding the transmitting or processing of entries
  • You acknowledge that Toronto Public Library reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend all or any portion of this prize draw without notice for any reason whatsoever, without any liability to you for any costs you may have incurred in respect to the prize draw.
  • Toronto Public Library is entitled to interpret these rules as required and its decision is final.
  • This prize draw is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These incentive prize rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the prize draw.
  • Any and all disputes arising from the prize draw will be resolved in the courts of the Province of Ontario and are subject to the laws of that Province.

Personal information on this survey is collected under the authority of sections 20(a) and (d) of the Public Libraries Act, R.S.O. 1990, C.P.44, and will be used to administer the contest.
