Imetthewlarus I Met the Walrus

(2009) Jerry Levitan

On May 26 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono had a one-day stop over in Toronto before continuing on to Montreal for their now famous bed-in for peace. Aspiring teen reporter Jerry Levitan managed to sneak into the famous couple's room, and convinced John to be interviewed.
I Met The Walrus is a transcript of this singular moment in rock history, in which one of the worlds most famous musicians responded to the questions of a teenaged fanboy from North Toronto. The interview is bookended by essays by Levitan, as well as a collection of archival photographs of the event. The book is also accompanied by a DVD documentary.

(2005) Raph

In this must-read for audio gearheads and rap enthusasts alike, photographer Raph explores the home studios of some of the biggest hip hop producers in the game. His behind-the-scenes shots of the sanctuaries of such notables as DJ Shadow, Madlib, Chief Xcel and DJ Premier invite the reader into the rooms where some of the most influential hip hop anthems were born. As an added bonus, the book comes with a CD featuring 10 tracks mixed by DJ Ransome.
