United Way

The first bake sale at 281 Front Street East took place on October 2nd and netted $422.75 for TPL's United Way Campaign.  The November 12th bake sale raised $482 for the campaign…with a few leftovers on sale today (November 13th).

NEWSFLASH! (as of 11:47a.m. EST): The final total for the November bake sale stands at an impressive $554!

Over the last couple of years, the folks at 281 Front Street East attempted to make their bake sale extra special by offering only homemade goods — with the exception of 100 purchased samosas which one of their generous non-bakers had donated. Their resident coffee specialist made an urn of gourmet jet fuel to complete the menu.

People practically crashed the doors of the Front St. cafeteria in anticipation of opening time!
