I think Lemony Snicket is pretty funny. A Bad Beginning has some hilarious moments.
I would say that as a kid I really enjoyed reading the Geronimo Stilton series. I thought they were funny wherever the protagonist tried to avoid any family trips or vacations but somehow he always ended up going and nothing went according to plan.
The funniest book I’ve read is by Megan Cabot called The Princess Diaries.Mia is a high-schooler dealing with a snotty cheerleader, she has a mom who’s dating her algebra teacher, and being too tall and flat-chested, and after all that she finds out she’s a princess!
The funniest book I’ve ever read would have to be Red Carpet Suicide, by Perez Hilton. It’s ridiculous, yet funny, so pretty much ridiculously funny.
“Charlie & the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl is the funniest book I read.
Well, since I love comics and manga, one of my favorite ones is “Skip Beat!” The romance and revenge behind a girl of 16 carries too many laughs and giggles ๐ I love it for the comedy!!
I found โI am a Genius of Unspeakable Evil and I Want to be Your Class Presidentโ hilarious! This book is about a boy, who everyone has seen, the boy who has no friends, doesnโt talk to anyone, however this boy happens to be a have an unbelievable secret. Although this book has a portion that is fantastical it is fairly realistic and extremely funny!
The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket!! Even though the story kinda sad for the three Baudelaire’s, but Count olaf is so funny. He is both evil and funny. I really like the story line. I think it’s the funniest book I ever read, and in the movie, Jim Carrey made it even funny ๐
The funniest book I have ever read would be “Can you keep a secret?” by Sophie Kinsella. I enjoyed reading this book because the unexpected happens! I loved this book and I was wondering if there would be book like this.
one of the funniest books ive ever read would difinitely have to be one for the money the stephenie plum series by Janet Evanovich . the book centres about about stephenie whose out of work and decides to take a jobs for her cousin vinny . to become a bounty hunter… even though this book is beyound my age it tounches on event that society might want to cover up. its hilarious and has characters that will make you want to keep turning the page over and over one of the best thillers ive read you should read it or watch the movie.
The Lightning Thief is probably one of the funniest books Iโve read. Although the storyline may be serious at (most) points, the humour Rick Riordan includes amongst the characters is hilarious! This novel is definitely a great mix of humour and adventure.
The funniest book I read is probably ‘Zorgamazoo’ by Robert Paul Weston. The writing is unique unlike any other books I have read, and the images between the pages were all very cute and hilarious. The book itself was exciting and fun to read.
One of the funniest books I have ever read would probably be Radio Fifth Grade by Gordon Korman. It’s all about a 5th grade student, Benjy Driver, who got the opportunity to be on a radio show produced by kids. Watch out for the talking parrot!
the funniest book i read was The Red Pyramid because of the attitude and point of view of Sadie and Carter. Also in the they manage to crack me up in in the most unexpected, dangerous and deadly moments.
The funniest book I’ve ever read has to be No Coins, Please, by Gordon Korman. It’s main character; Artie, is hilarious, with all his money making schemes, all under the noses of his camp counselers! My favourite scheme has to be when Artie disappears for several days. During this time he transforms an abandoned pretzel factory into a world-class discotheque visited by many prominent celebrities, then shuts it all down and flees with over $60,000!
The funniest book I’ve read is one that most wouldn’t consider funny. I have a weird sense of humor, and just found Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer to be hilarious. Bella punching Jacob was so badly written that I laughed and laughed, and it’s all I remember about the book.
โMaxx Comedyโ is probably the funniest book I’ve ever read!
Maxx wants to be a comedian when he grows up. So he made a video that has funny jokes, and included a laugh track that sounded like a cow in pain!
Eoin Colfer’s “Artemis Fowl” series was super hilarious. The main character and anti-hero, Artemis, is witty and fantastic. You couldn’t expect anything less from a child prodigy and criminal mastermind!
I would have to say Beverly Hills Maasai was the funniest book that I red.Eric Walters’s use of imagery always painted funny images in my head, and I’d always find myself bursting into laughter on the public transit only to get weird stares. But it was well worth it! It was such a good read!
The funniest book I’ve read is “Swim The Fly” by Don Calame. It centers on three boys and their common, summer goal of spotting a naked girl. Most of the humour came from the boys’ unsuccessful attempts at achieving their goal, as well as the trouble they encountered along the way. I can’t remember a book that made me laugh as much as this one…except maybe the sequel to it.
The funniest book I read was Dear Dumb Diary. The illustrations and what the girl does in the book is hilarious.
I totally agree. I loved the Dear Dumb Diary books and like you said, they were very hilarious!
These are all such awesome books! My holds list is about to get a lot longer…@SS – I’m totally looking forward to cracking up on the public transit – in fact, I’ll be expecting to when reading from this round-up of books.

zodiac PI. Just so hilarious.
The funniest book i’ve ever read is the Catcher in the Rye. The main protagonist called Holden CauLfield has a witty personality who makes the whole story funny and amusing as he narrates it. When he narrates the story, he uses an amusing jaded language to capture and cling his readers attention.
The funniest book I have ever read would have to be the hunger pains. I went to chapters one day with my friends, when I came across the book. I started reading and could not stop! I was so caught up in the book that I was almost left behind!
The funniest book I’ve ever read would be “Framed!”, by Malcolm Rose. Though it deals with crime and murder, the deadpan humour between Luke and his Moblie Aid to Crime and Law, Malc, is hilarious!
I loved the Percy Jackson series
I have been meaning to read that series for awhile
but I have not started yet
I agree! It was totally hilarious! I read it because I truly loved the Shopaholic series. Emma Corrigan is one of my favourite chick lit characters ๐
Yup! Jim Carrey is an amazing actor. Count Olaf is such an evil doofus but gotta love him for making the story move ๐
Amazing book, my favourite out of all the books by Roald Dahl.
Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka in the movie was also hysterical (along with the oompa loompas :P)
Definitely agree! Percy has such an astounding sense of humour along with his sense of perception! Like that part where he fights the minotaur and described him wearing fruit of the looms underwear! ๐
yeah I liked that manga even though it was a bit short. The authour is really good at incorporating mystery. You should try reading Kitchen Princess (also by the same authour). It is so cute.
The Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. There are so many understated funny moments ๐
Well of course it’s Harry Potter.
Harry Potter is the ultimate masterpiece of entertainment fiction. It’s everything–funny, cheesy, etc– in nicely packaged doses.
the funniest book i’ve ever read is dairy of a wimpy kid! the characters are all funny especially greg heffley. All of jeff kinney’s books are hilarious.
the funniest book i’ve ever read is the princess diaries! because the main protagonist Mia is a very entertaining character and has a very good sense of humour!
