When The Weird Sisters, a fictional rock band from the Harry Potter series, appeared in the fourth book, I couldn’t help but laugh. Described as “extremely hairy,” the band put on quite a show for those at the Yule Ball. Well, who wouldn’t love a band named after Shakespearean witches?
Just last week, I finished reading the Steve Job’s biography by Walter Isaacson. While I was reading it, I was flabbergasted when U2 made an appearance in the book. I was euphoric and totally ecstatic when I found out that my favourite band, U2, was friends and business partners with one of my role models, Steve Jobs.

The winner of this contest will get a copy of the dark & excellent postapocalyptic novel, “Ashes, Ashes” by Jo Treggiari

Despite not exactly being apart of the audience that comes to mind when you think of the Beetles, I have always idolized John Lennon! Since as long as I can remember I’ve always been a Beetles fan, and like many I could make the claim I’m their biggest fan but in truth I’m more likely to be their youngest fan. This is why my absolute favourite book about/with a featured musician is “The Beetles” by Hunter Davis.
After reading “The Broken Locket”, a Nancy Drew book, I realized that it was actually the first time that a musician-a band, appeared in my book. The author had created such an awesome, and handsome, rock band! Now I’m a really big fan!
I think there’s a typo…it’s the BEATLES, unless if ur referring to another band… :/
