Don Mills branch is holding a manga workshop on Saturday August 15 with award-winning manga illustrator and writer Sara E. Mayhew.  Learn to draw your own manga!

Where: Don Mills branch, 888 Lawrence Ave. East, Toronto

  9. I also love manga, i discovere them two years ago when my friend showed me her manga books, and i really found them intresting so i jsut kept looking out for them

  11. I discovered manga about a 3 years ago i think but i don’t exactly remember how lol, but ever since i’ve loved reading manga.

  15. And also though i can’t draw at ALL myself, my sister would absolutely love this, so what’s the age limit on this ’cause my little sister is younger than me Much younger. but she’s very good at drawing and loves it

  19. Oh Wow! This is really cool espiecally if an award-winning manga illustrator and writer is going to attend! But i can’t because i don’t live anywhere near Don-Mills library! My home library is Jones or Queen-Saulter! But hopefully, you guys will tell me what i missed! I also think its cool because all the Word-out/manga lovers in Word Out!2009 are going so they’ll get to meet face to face!BUt no hard feelings, have fun and draw manga LOL Happy Reading>>>> maybe i can’take the bus but i am going to have to find out where it is but its far, then i can’t attend 🙁 but i’ll try my best!

  25. Though i havn’t heard of the Sara E Mayhew, i think she’ll be a great mangaka and will definately have some great advice for those who are there

  27. manga? Not really my thing, but I’m really glad that TPL has something for everyone. You guys are working well towards having a great variety of workshops. Keep it up!

  33. Hey, i just came back from the workshop and it was pretty fun, Sara taught us how to draw the eyes, the body and she talked about her next vol of her manga. She also had some manga to buy only for 10 bucks and also has free posters. but, there was only 10 people who attended the workshop. it was suppose to be at least 20 people, but only 10 showed up
