Seven authors you can meet at the library in September
Toronto is a great place for author-spotting, if you know where to look; and with Word on the Street coming up at the end of this month, there'll be no shortage of literary talent on the loose around Harbourfront. But did you know that the library hosts high-profile Canadian and international authors all year 'round? If you've always wanted to shake hands with someone who's hypnotized you into having strong feelings about imaginary people, here are seven sterling opportunites before October.
At the Appel Salon:
The Appel Salon is the library's flagship event space. Conveniently located on the second floor of Toronto Reference Library at Yonge and Bloor, it features a cash bar (with snacks!) and a steady rotation of free events with high-octane international authors (and others). For example:
