TRL Stacks – Toronto Reference Library

When you use the web site (www.torontopubliclibrary.ca), or the online catalogue to search for books, magazines and journals, and all other print and non-print materials at the TORONTO REFERENCE LIBRARY, you will often find that the location reads TRL STACKS. This is because two-thirds of all the library's collections are not in the open shelves and must be requested by you.

Here is an example:

Click on The Metamorphoses of Ovid

You will see that the Branch is "TRL Stacks." Click the green button "Stack request" and enter your library card number and PIN

Select the location in the building where you are working.

A request will be filled in 15 to 20 minutes. Simply go to the PICK-UP shelves and retrieve the book.
