Toronto Public Library has created Finding Library Programs @ Your Fingertips as a tip sheet to help customers find library programs through the TPL website. First, click on the Programs, Classes & Exhibits button. The left column provides a list of different kinds of programs, including Author Talks & Lectures, Book Clubs & Writer’s Groups, Career and Job Search, Computer & Library Training, Newcomer & ESL Programs, Hobbies, Crafts & Games, Reading Programs & Storytimes, Culture, Arts & Entertainment, Business, Legal & Personal Finance, Health & Wellness, History & Genealogy, and Exhibits & Displays. The middle column highlights Featured Programs, while the right column offers the opportunity to search programs by keyword, browse programs by library branch (with the option of limiting by audience: adult, teen, all children, school-age children, and pre-school children), and sign up for email updates from the library. When finding a program of interest, click on the program title to get a full description. If necessary, contact the library branch offering the program to register. Clicking on the library branch name shows the hours and contact information, directions, map, history, and other features of your chosen branch.
