Overdrive App Update
Great news for those of you using the Overdrive app on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. The latest update, released on May 23, adds the ability to return an eBook early right from your iDevice. This is an important feature because there is a check-out limit of 10 items from the Overdrive service so the ability to check-in items when you're finished with them frees up space to download more. If you're not sure you'd check-out 10 eBooks at a time, remember that Overdrive also provides eAudiobooks, Music, and Video downloads.
The 'return early' feature was previously only available using the Adobe Digital Editions software (a free eBook managament tool for PC & Mac) so this update is a welcome addition to the iOS app. To return an eBook early just swipe the title you want to delete from your Overdrive library in the app and you're given the option to delete & return or just delete. If you haven't updated your app yet, just go to the App Store, press the Updates button, then apply the Overdrive app update.
