Wajam: Get your friends' knowledge when you need it from Wajam on Vimeo.

Search engine aficionados of the Bing, Google and/or Yahoo persuasion who also like Facebook and Twitter may want to consider using the Wajam social search extension. Wajam gets results based on what your friends are sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus once your Wajam account has been authorized. You can use Wajam without installing the plug-in but this restricts you to searching from Wajam’s website.

Take a look at the Wajam blog that recently stated Wajam is making social media relevant to people’s daily lives. When using Bing, Google or Yahoo to search, Wajam integrates relevant search results from one’s Facebook friends, Twitter followers, and Google Plus circles. Wajam’s location-based feature adds content from your friends based on where they live, what they like, places that they have checked into, and photographs that they have taken of a particular location.

Wajam is a Montréal-based company led by Martin-Luc Archambault who has a team of 12 computer engineers working under him who were able to hack Google Plus and apply its search results in Wajam. The Wajam Everywhere tool bar allows you to view relevant searches whenever one goes online, including popular websites such as Amazon, TripAdvisor, and Wikipedia.
