Video Tutorial: Browse the Library Website and Place a Hold
Welcome to the Toronto Public Library
Website “Let’s take a tour” video tutorial series.
Searching or Browsing the library website
for something good to read is one of the main reasons Toronto residents get a library
card. In this tutorial I will take you
through the basic steps and show you a few tips and tricks. Then I will take through the steps to place a hold on the book.
Please note that you if the status of a book you want is “In Library” you could go to the library. Call Library Staff to make sure it’s there. They will also pull the book from the shelves and keep it for you until you arrive (up to three days later is usually allowed).
You can also link to the script of my tutorial:
Browse the Library and Place a Hold and a document called
Holds@ Your Fingertips which covers the same topics as the tutorial.
