Blogging Basics: Selected Books, eBooks and Workshops
Toronto Public Library collections contain a wide
variety of books and eBooks on the subject of blogging, whether for personal
interest or for professional, monetary purposes. A blog (a contraction of weblog)
is a discussion or information web site posted on the World Wide Web through
which an individual or a group of people share information in the form of
written “posts” (that might also contain pictures, audio and video clips) to be
shared on the open Internet or by invitation only. Blogs may also be used to
express certain viewpoints or opinions, or tell a story.
The following list contains examples of books
and eBooks accessible through Toronto Public Library collections. For the sake
of brevity, books/eBooks specific to the WordPress blogging platform have not
been included here but will be covered in a future blog post.
