More Apps For Your Smartphone and Tablets

OverDrive and Zinio are not the only library resources that can be used on mobile devices. We have another collection electronic audiobooks that can be borrowed and downloaded, a resource to help you learn a new language and two sources of streaming music. All of these can be used on most smartphones and tablets.
OneClickdigital eAudiobooks:
A fantastic collection of eAudiobooks which are compatible with your mobile devices. Some audiobooks in this collection are available for unlimited use, so a copy will always be available to be checked out. Others are available through the one book/one user system (like OverDrive), with a holds list created after all the copies have been checked out. You will need to set up a separate OneClickDigital account with your valid library card. OneClickdigital allows for a maximum of 15 audiobooks checked out and a maximum of 10 on hold at one time. Both Android and Apple iOS apps are available. Watch the tutorial videos in the Help section of the website for guidance on using this service.

Naxos Music Library & Naxos Music Library (Jazz)
Naxos Music Library is a streaming music service with a collection ranging from the medieval period to modern. It includes classical, jazz, electronic, world music and more and is a good source of expert educational content. Naxos Music Library (Jazz) has a comprehensive collection of jazz legends and contemporary jazz. You will need to set up an account for each of these two services using your valid library card. It is best to do the first, on a computer, before trying to sign up using the app. Personal playlists can be created for both services.
Mango Language Learning
Mango Language Learning combines slides and audio from native speakers to help you practice pronunciation of common words and phrases in 37 different languages such as Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian, and Russian. It also has English courses for learners from 15 different native languages such as English for French speakers, Arabic speakers, Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin) speakers, and more.
You will need a valid library card to access the website. Users must create a Profile through the website first, before trying to log into the app. The profile will allow Mango Languages to remember your progress through the courses. Apple iOs and Android apps are both available.
