A few friends have figured out how to “escape” their very secure high school to skip a class, but when they return, they find the place has gone seriously crazy. A strange virus is spreading and the affected teens are mutating into zombie-like monsters. They have to figure out how to protect themselves and a handful of others trapped in the drama building, and also find a sister and girlfriend who they hope are still human. Is escape their best option with the whole city in apocalypse mode, or do they stay put?

This definitely puts the “fight or flight” to the test. To be honest, I would personally just run to another city and never look back. However, this sounds like a nice book to read for fun, hopefully it is more comedy than horror.
I’d put it somewhere in the action category, really. It’s not really comedy, but it’s not too horrific, either. And as it turns out, everyone else is trying to flee, too, and it may be more widespread than they think, so running away might not even be an option…
