Tehirah reviewed Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver is a thrilling young adult romance that anyone will enjoy.
This book is a riveting book about a girl and a boy.
Simple right? Well no, I'm not done.
This boy turns into a wolf in the winter and human in the summer, as it all depends on the heat.
The girl, Grace Brisbane, is in love with the wolf, Sam Roth. When she sees him as a wolf, she claims it's "her wolf", and loves it deeply.
Sam adores Grace too, sometimes as human, he tries to get her attention but fails.
Until one night, Grace roams the woods and finds Sam– as they know it's true love.
She knows he's her wolf, just by his eyes, his yellow eyes that she is intrigued by.
When they meet up– they try to keep together, but that can't work out for long as he will turn back into a wolf anytime soon and apparen'tly, what the pack leader, Beck, says is that it's Sam's final year as a wolf.
As Grace and Sam struggle to keep warm in this enchanting tale, you'll be at the edge of your seat every chapter.
I absolutely fell in love with this book as soon as I saw the amazing and beautiful cover.
This book was filled with climactic chapters that kept me page turning so hard that the page was dog-eared.
Grace and Sam were definitely the cutest couple for me, in any book I have ever read.
Some people say it's a TEAM JACOB version of Twilight, but matter-of-factually, Shiver's first draft was written before Twilight came out.
This book comes along with two other books in the series, The Wolves Of Mercy Falls.
The second book is titled, Linger and the third in the series is Forever.
If you are a supernatural romance geek like me, you need to get this book!
5 STARS!

Ahmed reviewed Pendragon: the Never War by DJ MacHale

The title of a book I read this summer is a part of the pendragon series. It is called Pendragon : The Never War. It is the third book in the 10 book series. The book is written by D. J Mac Hale. I found this book the most exciting out of all the books in the series because the setting was on earth however it was during the years prior to the second world war. Bobby Pendragon the main character is what is known as a traveler in the series and it is his job to proctect Halla ( the whole universe at every moment in time) from an evil demon called Saint Daine. He is one of the most cruel beings in the whole universe. At the begining of the story he brain washes a person to jump in front of a moving train. So it is Bobby's Job to travel around their mythical universe and save it from the hands of evil. However it must come at the hands of people's lives. So Bobby has to decide the future of earth during his time period. If he lets a few people die then his time period will be normal, but if he lets no one die in the past many people will die and the future will be in chaos.

Ramna reviewed I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak

You begin a book, flip the front cover, and a wondering sensation surrounds you. You think about whether this book will satisfy you in the way only a wonderfully good book can, whether you will be left by a new understanding and comprehension about life as you close the back cover in finality some hours, days, or weeks later. 'I Am the Messenger', by Markus Zusak, was one of those books, for me at least. Watching the events unfold before me in the first chapter of the book, the rapidly moving actions playing in my mind like a black and white movie with subtitles, I began to wonder whether this book would be one to remember, one I would never need to remember to never forget. Well, I have finished reading it, and I can say that my expectations for Markus Zusak's ingeniously crafted piece of work appear pathetically meager in comparison to what the book has brought me. It is suspenseful in the way a mystery novel could never be, riveting and moving, much like his award-winning 'The Book Thief'. Multiple times, I felt tears flirt with my eyes and rain onto the words of the book which I now love so dearly. 'I Am the Messenger' brings about a new understanding of kindness and favors and love, unconditional or otherwise. A must-read if there ever was one, and a book that will charge every one of your emotions. You will throw the book across the room only to hug it tightly to your heart as you pick it up from the floor. Markus Zusak has truly out done himself, and after you have read the book, you will understand exactly what I mean when I say he has truly displayed himself as the ace of his art.

Sabryna reviewed Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding

The reason I had thought to borrow this book from the library was because a month or so ago I was reading an article in the paper and it briefly talked about this book. I then tried to find out which book was the first (there are 3). I hadn't thought about the book for awhile until 2 weeks ago when I remembered and ordered it. I love the movies that are based on this book and so I was hoping the book was going to be identical. I found a similar plot between the book and movie, but over all they're quite different. Bridget Jones's Diary is exactly what the title suggests. The diary begins on January 1st, and ends on December 26th. The first pages are about new years resolutions. Bridget's include: stop smoking, drink less, have a relationship and learn to programme her VCR recorder (they're more resolutions don't worry). Each chapter is split up by month, they all have great titles. My favourite title was 'Hah! Boyfriend'. Bridget's life has many tips and turns especially when it comes to finding a relationship or with her Mother/family. The friends Bridget talks about in the book are so funny and often lighten up a chapter. The only part of the book which people might not enjoy is when Bridget complains, she does it a lot. I would recommend if you liked the Confessions of a Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella then you'll like Bridget Jones's Diary.
