Sabryna reviewed The Rites and Wrongs of Janice Wills by Joanna Pearson.

This book is about a girl named Janice who lives in the small town of Melva, North Carolina. She is an anthropologist in training (as she likes to call it). During the story the big event in Melva is coming up, which is the annual Miss Livermush Pageant. Janice at first isn't sure she wants to enter but then she decides she will because (1) it would be good research, (2) her mom wants her too and (3) her friend Margo is participating. I liked this book because it doesn't go into too much detail about the completion. During the book Janice finds out what her crush and best friend have always thought of her. And is it possible Janice uses anthropology to be mean to people? This book was written like a science research journal and because of that I give it 4/5 stars.

Sara reviewed Me! (Just Like You, Only Better) by Jim Benton

I Iove these Dear Dumb Diary books! I read the whole series and I've been dying to read the newest one! I finished this book in a day because I was so curious about what happened. This book's main character, in this case, the diary owner is Jamie Kelly. Jim Benton sure knows how to make a good reader laugh because there were some rediculous drama inside. Anyway, Jamie's birthday is comming up and she has an art assignment due (she has to make a poster of a singer) and she suspects that her friends are copying her. Like when she was in FATAALD everyone one was in FATAALD. When she was going for Verge Aplo, everyone was in Verge Aplo. This also has an effect on her art assignment because she kept changing her singer. If you've guesed right, all of her friends would be changing their singer. I just love how Jim Benton gets everything to connect at the end! I need to stop typing because then I'll spill the beans. Read the book to find out why and if everone was coppying Jamie!
