Word Out: Teen Summer Reading Video Making Workshop @ Northern District
The first of three video making workshops was held at Northern District on July 14.
5 teens attended the workshop. After discussion about storyboarding and what they felt made a good video, the group decided that they would rather work together to create one video than create separately. They carefully considered some books that they had read and settled on David Levithan's Boy Meets Boy. They felt that they could really utilize the studio to capture themes in the novel. After shooting footage, the teens intently watched to a tutorial of Windows Movie Maker and then got to work editing.

The Video Making Workshop is amazing. I would like to try is out sometimes. I know that most people are visual learners and I think that the video tutorials will really benefit them. The Video Making Workshop is also a great way to give recommendations of some of a person’s favourite books.I am looking forward to it!
