Mical reviewed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – By: J.K.Rowling
In this final installement to the exciting fantasy thriller series Harry must undergo the biggest journey of his life as he goes searching the final way to bring down Voldemort as a raging battle on both sides (good vs evil) ensues. Voldemort grows stronger and is on the hunt for Harry Potter as he decides his fate and begins to accept that he is the only one who can stop this. I really enjoyed the final sequel to one of the longest series I've read. It was definately one of the best. This book was so fascinating with 607-page worth of twists and turns that both intruiged and mystefied the audience reading it. It was definately a page-turner that eventually came through to the happy-ending everyone was hoping for. It definately delivered as promised. Thats why I rate this book a 4/5.
Mical reviewed Twilight – By: Stephanie Meyer
After much contempletation whether to give into the hype I finaly decided to read Twilight. I actually enjoyed the book and found myself reading till 12 in hopes of 'finishing another chapter' although the theme is a bit tired and the diologue is somewhat tedious. It starts of with Bella Swan on the way to her fathers house in the little town of Forks where she is reluctant but motivated to make it through. Everone is fascinated by her at school where she can hardly blend in, she is just trying to muddle through when she meets Edward and they become closer than friends. Their relationship is at the reluctance of Jacob Black an his werewolve clan. I still enjoyed the fresh idealistic look at the fantasy world where vampires and werewolves co-exist in somewhat harmony with humans…or at least some of them. There are many reasons why this book is very popular among teens, its a wonderful fantasy escape something not seen or experienced very often. This book I beleive should receive a rating of 3.5/5.
Vivien reviewed Arisa Vol 1 – By : Natsumi Ando
It's another normal day and I couldn't wait to start another graphic novel, or in my case, manga. When I first picked up this book and skimmed through it, I thought, what pretty pictures. When I read manga, I have one condition. It doesn't matter whether the story line is good or not, I'd care about that later. What I need in a manga is a pretty girl and good looking guys! I don't think you could read a manga with horrible pictures. But I read the first couple pages and I couldn't hold my laughter. The girl is 15 years old and her name is Tsubasa. These guys were trying to pick her and her friends up, but one of them littered and she snapped on them. It turns out that her nickname at her high school is The Demon Princess of Higashi middle school. But she only befriends guys because the girls are all scared of her. It was a bit different from what I was used to because I'm more of a girly girl and befriend the girls and not the guys. It turns out she has a twin sister who is the student president and cute! Their paren'ts were divorced so they were split when they were young, after three years, they finally meet again. Tsubasa envys her sister, Arisa and they decided to try living each others lives for a day. Tsubasa blindly waltzes through Arisa's normal life and doesn't notice the things that happen around her. When the day ends Tsubasa literally sees her sister do suicide, but she doesn't have any major physical injuries, it's just that Arisa is keeping herself from waking up. Tsubasa finds a note that makes her question about her knowledge of her twin sister. Then the more I read, I felt surprised with everything that is happening. There is this King time on Friday's fourth period. Everything started to happen all at once, it was so undescrible. It was simply like, just fasten your seat belts 'cause we are going for a ride! ^___^
Judy Diana reviewed BOOT CAMP – By: Tod Strasser
The novel BOOTCAMP by Tod Strasser, is one of those books that plays a movie in my head. Now I'm talking HD , 3D, 4D, in ULTRA AVX settings. This novel is a fast paced story about a 16 year old boy named Garrett Durrell , who is being abused at a camp his paren'ts sent him to. Garrett is the protagonist in the story and everyone else at the camp are the antagonists except for two other campanions. As the trio attepmted escape, I was attatched to the novel so much for so long that my paren'ts had to ask me to STOP reading. As the characters missed meals in the story so did I while my eyes were constantly glued to the pages.
I couldn't help but miss my times reading the novel when it was over. It was very well put together I'm willing to read it again. For all first time readers of Tod Strasser books you will never forget the experience. This author is a genious when it comes to the written word. He hits many social justice issues hard in his novels to spread awarness about the issues. If you're looking for something completely awesome and heart-wretching to read this summer BOOTCAMP is definately it.

These reviews make me want to read The Harry Potter Series and Boot Camp! They sound really interesting! And I’ve already read Twilight.
I loved Harry Potter, not sure I can say the same for Twilight though but I want to check our Bootcamp, sounds like a good read!
LOVE all the harry potter books!!
the last one was amazing!
too bad it’s all over :l
I love the story behind the Twilight series. The author went to many publication companies before she managed to get them published. So many companies rejected her but she never gave up! Now there one of the hottest books for teens!
Oh, and Arisa Vol. 1 sounds interesting. Great review! 😛
Nice review about boot camp! really want to read it!
Arisa is an interesting graphic novel. The almost horror-filled story line is really attention grabbing, and always keeps you on its toes. As well, the art is very well done.
And of course, now I want to re-read Harry Potter all over again. 😛
I cannot explain how GOOD Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is. I wished that there had been books added to the series and I hope to watch the movie soon, both part 1 and 2. Such as amazing book!!
harry pottes and twiligt there great books and better movies they were great
I love Arisa!! Tsubasa is so daring, and I like how even though it’s mysterious it’s not a horrifying manga, very good art indeed!!
The Harry Potter series must be one of the best written series ever 🙂
I felt that Twilight was highly overrated. The actual concept was good, and Stephenie Meyer really started the whole vampire craze, but I found that books such as the Harry Potter series and the Hunger Games series were written much better.
Mical I was in the same position as you before I started reading Twilight. Good to hear your point of view!
There’s this one quote from Stephen King… “Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend.” I have to admit, when I read Twilight in 8th grade, I had a guilty pleasure for it…until I went to high school and started reading Literature. BAHAHAHA–but anyway… I’m sure Meyer is a sweet woman, I at least know I like her taste in music 😉
I agree about Arisa. I just read the Vol. 1 and I loved it. Makes me nervous to read more. I just love manga and the artist who design the book is sooo great. Kitchen Princess and Zodiac 101 were really good.
